Medical

Take proof of insurance with you

• Check to see if you have any coverage outside of the U.S. (or wherever your home is). If not, check into travel insurance for medical protection
• Write down your medical condition(s), all prescriptions, all allergies, and your physician's name & contact information on a piece of paper and keep in your wallet or with your passport.
• Make sure you have had a recent physical as well as dental exam LONG BEFORE you leave in case anything needs attention. Nothing worse than getting a toothache or having a physical problem in a foreign country that could have been attended to before leaving!
• Are any vaccinations suggested for the country you are entering? A couple of good health resources for the traveler to consult are:
