Adventure / Multi-Sport Vacations:

An example of a multi-sport vacation might be one where every day you do one or more sports activities, appreciating the beauty of the area accessible by your sport at the same time. One trip I did included: mtn biking, hiking, canyoneering, rock-climbing and white-water rafting in Utah (Moab area).

• The World Outdoors - "Extraordinary off-the-beaten-path Adventures" - This is a company with whom I have taken a couple of multi-sport vacations which were unforgettable experiences. The guides are well-trained, very knowledgeable and accommodating.

  • Hostelling International USA - "The Largest Network of Hostels in America" - the US affiliate of the global organization Hostelling International with 4,000 hostels in over 60 countries. Has a search engine for hostels in US and worldwide. WHAT ARE HOSTELS? Dormitory-style rooms with separate quarters for men and women, though some also have private family and couples rooms. They provide a blanket and pillow with linens often included or available for rental. (This was listed under 'Biking' because so many hostellers travel by bike)
