Unless you know you are not staying in a decent hotel, leave your hair dryer at home.
They add a lot of bulk and most hotels provide them with the room.
If not, then buy one if you need to (they are moderately inexpensive). Another advantage to this: you don't need to worry about having a special converter plug to use it!
