Toiletries

Don't forget your toiletry kit/bag, a dirty clothes bag (thin and lightweight), and perhaps a small, secondary toiletry bag for first aid items, medications like cold & allergy remedies (in their original bottle, especially if prescription) anti-fungal cream, moisturizer, etc. but IN SMALL QUANTITIES!

One small shampoo will get you by in case you don't stay somewhere where they are complementary or don't happen to get into a local store to pick up selected toiletries (you are doing this to reduce weight of your bag).

If weight allows more toiletries, consider taking either travel-sized items or regular-sized that are over half-empty for reduced weight.

Pack liquid containers in zip-lock bags (because you know they will leak!).
