When renting a car, if you wish to have someone else drive as well, not all agencies allow an additional designated driver without an additional charge. You may need to call in advance to ask about the charge as well as verify age restrictions if you plan to add a young driver. You may also need to do the paperwork for the additional driver at the rental location before driving away; you generally can't do it by phone after leaving the airport.
